"Garmil" means "small mountain peak" in Romansh. But what the high-altitude hike to the Garmil offers is by no means little: at the valley station of the Pizol cable cars, you will be equipped with a picnic backpack filled with regional specialities. You will need it for your picnic breaks: There is a lot to discover along the way. Along your route you will find information panels that explain the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona that surrounds you. The highlight of the hike is the summit cross, where you have a magnificent view over Sarganserland. Find a cosy spot for your picnic or make yourself comfortable on the benches next to the cross. From a cutting board to a picnic blanket: you'll find everything you need in your backpack.
