St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church
The Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul in Zizers, first mentioned in 1410, is a baroque church that was consecrated in 1696. It stands on the remains of a church from the 11th century.
The first documented mention of "Zizers" can be found in 955 AD. Emperor Otto I donated the "Hof Zizers" to the beleaguered episcopal church of Chur. The current Catholic church is mentioned in 1410. Finds of a first church from around the 11th century can be found beneath it. Today's baroque church was consecrated to the patron saints Peter and Paul in 1696.
