Alpkäserei Flumserberg

On Tannenbodenalp, cheese-making becomes an experience: The alpine cheese dairy Flumserberg has ultra-modern equipment and surprises visitors with numerous attractions.

The alpine cheese dairy Flumserberg is located at 1'399 meters above sea level, where alpine products such as cheese, yogurt or fondue mixtures are processed in summer. All products are available in the neighbouring Restaurant Sennenstube - either in hearty creations for tasting in the restaurant or in the sales corner in the restaurant to take home a souvenir of the alpine cheese dairy. In addition to dairy products, you can also buy meat, honey, eggs or liqueurs from local farms.

Experience cheese in all variations
The alpine cheese dairy Flumserberg is one of the most modern cheese dairies in Switzerland. Visitors are given detailed insights into the production rooms and the cheese cellar. The motto is: Mice and their love for cheese. This can be seen in the attractions. A themed playground for children has an underground cheese cellar, a trampoline, a water feature, a tower with slide and climbing variants, a small rope garden, swings, seesaws and much more. You can watch films about cheese production and the surrounding area.

Cheese yourself like in former times
With so much cheese knowledge, many people want to try themselves as cheesemakers. This is also possible in the alpine cheese dairy Flumserberg. In the traditional cheese dairy visitors can make their own cheese. And in the same way as it used to be: over an open fire and under the guidance of an experienced alpine dairyman.
