House Salis

1745; Family house Salis-Jenins; from 1965 parsonage

The well-proportioned manor house with its generous orchard, built after the village fire in 1745, is of great importance for the village image due to its position. It is the ancestral home of the Salis-Jenins family and boasts furnishings and fittings of high quality, an important testimony to its construction period. In the 1860s, Johanna Spyri (author of Heidi) would often stay here to visit.
