Lakes of Seeben
Three mountain lakes on the plateau
The plateau with the three mountain lakes is embedded in the famous summer and winter sports area Flumserberg and is characterised by idyll and natural beauty. The traditional hotel directly on the lake has a long history.
The three mountain lakes (Grosssee, Heusee, Schwarzsee) lie at about 1620 m.a.s.l. The imposing hotel originally stood at Heusee and was torn down by an avalanche in 1898 and rebuilt at its current location at Grosssee in 1907. Run as a spa hotel, the house was home to asthma sufferers, who appreciated the healthy mountain climate and the idyllic location. Even today the Hotel Seebenalp still accommodates guests. The restaurant with a large sun terrace offers a wide range of food and drinks. The hotel also offers ideal facilities for group events for up to 100 people.
