Lower Sprecher House

End of 17th c.; renovated in 1714; rebuilt in 1745 (after the village fire)

The baroque town house with its auxiliary buildings, wine press and fenced-in garden, is part of the ensemble that characterises the town; the other two members are the Church and the Salis house, all three accentuated by the wall that surrounds them. Access to the main building via a double flight of stairs on the east side, through a stone-framed portal under the alliance emblem of Guler von Wynegg/Sprecher.
