Red rocks, imposing force of nature

This picturesque gorge of water mills in coloured rock is only a few minutes away from Murg railway station, the starting point of the Chestnut Trail. On the chestnut trail with numerous information boards you can learn interesting facts about the sweet chestnut and the largest chestnut forest north of the Alps in Murg. Information about the blood-red Verrucano rocks and the Murgbach gorge is also integrated.
