Murgbach waterfall
Waterfall near the lower Murg lake
The 57-metre-high Murgbach waterfall is situated in the middle of an alpine picture-book landscape. The untouched lower Murg lake lies embedded in a protected Swiss stone pine reserve and sparkles like a jewel. Almost directly next to the lake, the still young Murgbach falls over a shimmering red rock face. The Murgbach waterfall can be reached on foot in 5 hours from Murg railway station. Alternatively, you can take a car or a Murgtal taxi (on request) from Murg to Mornen to the starting point of the Murg lake hike, from where it is still a good 1.5 hours on foot to the fall.
