The house has acquired significant historical importance by preserving its original character. The decision to forgo any type of plastering reinforces this, as does the contrast between it and the adjoining new building. Casascura was awarded a "special mention" in "Gute Bauten Graubünden 2013" (Good buildings Grisons 2013). The whole ensemble is exemplary for successful ongoing construction within the existing village structure.
